Join Wallpaper Consultant and Interior Decorator Yolanda Brooks for an engaging presentation exploring the modern resurgence of wallpaper and its role in shaping today’s interiors.

For many years, wallpaper carried a reputation tied to outdated materials and difficult installations. Today, however, modern wallcoverings have evolved into a sophisticated design tool that combines texture, colour science, and architectural storytelling.

In this session, students will learn how designers use wallpaper to create immersive environments, correct spatial challenges, and establish the emotional tone of a room. From large-scale murals to tactile textures and heritage patterns, wallcoverings are once again becoming a defining element in interior design.

Yolanda will also introduce students to the HSI framework (Hue, Saturation, and Illuminance)—a practical way to understand how colour, pattern, and light interact to influence mood and perception within a space.
